Need to know

Doctors usually recommend wearing a bandage from the 4th month of pregnancy.
The obstetrician-gynecologist prescribes the use of a bandage, taking into account the age of the mother, the duration of pregnancy, the position of the fetus and the number of previous births.
It is forbidden to wear a bandage for 24 hours - wear it according to the scheme.
If a pregnant woman walks or stands a lot during the day, remove the bandage every 3 hours for 30 minutes.
Special physical exercises
To prepare the muscles of the uterus and abdominals for childbirth, the wearing of prenatal and postnatal bandage must be combined with special physical exercises. Gymnastics can also be done in a bandage.

There are a number of medical and cosmetic indications for the use of a bandage during and after pregnancy:

Indications for wearing a prenatal bandage:
Gestational age more than 20 weeks
Repeated pregnancy, during which the abdominal wall stretches faster and stronger
Active lifestyle (when the expectant mother is in an upright position for 3 hours a day or longer)
It is especially important for working expectant mothers.
Predisposition to stretch marks
The appearance of stretch marks due to a decrease in the layer of fatty tissue that nourishes the skin and ensures its elasticity
Weak muscles of the anterior abdominal wall and pelvic floor
It puts an extra strain on the back.
Lower back pain during pregnancy
It doesn’t result in any consequences, though it is hard to endure daily for several months.
Some types of obstetric pathology
Rachiocampsis
Osteochondrosis
(uterine scar; threatened miscarriage in the second and third trimesters; excessive enlargement of the uterus, polyhydramnios, multiple pregnancies, large fetuses; placenta previa or low position)
